Wall Street is crying today,
Fortune 500 has gone awry.
But Government can save you!
Yes Government will save you!
Quickly now let's enact a law.
Save the world from economic withdraw!
But first let's talk this through.
Who's responsible me or you!

But still the rhetoric is hurled.
We need something done right now.
If only we knew how!

Yes I know its political and thats normally an area I try to avoid. Im sure ill get alot of comments over this, I would be surpised not to. Please note that while I am a conservative I wrote this in anger at all the levels of governments and all the sides of it. I am sick of seeing nothing happen when something needs to happen. Im sick of seeing promises from both sides which are never fulfilled.
Please critique as you wish, I would greatly appreciate those who do. However please do not put your opinion on the subject of the poem as so much the poem itself as critique. Thanks, Josh |
